Lake Mansarovar, located at an altitude of 4,590 meters, is considered the purest and most sacred lake. According to Hindu beliefs, taking a dip in this holy lake washes away sins from multiple lifetimes and grants spiritual enlightenment.

For Buddhists, Mount Kailash is associated with Chakrasamvara Tantra, representing enlightenment. Jains believe it is Ashtapada, where the first Tirthankara, Rishabhadeva, attained nirvana. The Bon religion sees it as a spiritual axis of the world, emphasizing its universal significance.
